Noctua NH-U12S SE-AM4 has arrived in a retail package which has the same classic design as all other Noctua coolers.
Everything is well described so we don’t really need anything else to know what is inside the box. All features and specifications are listed on the sides of the box. I guess that most users are buying computer components online nowadays so they can’t really see the package but it’s still nice to have all info on the package.
Inside the box we can find everything we need to install our new cooler. There are required tools, manual, two mounting kits ( depends what cooler orientation we want ), elements to install additional fan and NT-H1 thermal paste. Thermal material is really good so we won’t need any replacement. Tube will also last for couple of reinstallations if we ever need that.
I’m not a fan of tower coolers but Noctua NH-U12S SE-AM4 looks simply great. You can feel it’s a high quality product. Everything is perfect.
Installation is really simple. It actually takes 2-3 minutes as cooler uses standard motherboard backplate which is the same on all AM4 motherboards. Mounting kit is the same as in previously reviewed NH-L9x65 SE-AM4.
Fan itself is also top quality and should last for many years. If we wish higher performance then we can install second fan but I don’t think it’s required.
Heatsink was designed to provide full compatibility with all motherboards and memory kits. Even the tallest memory modules can be installed with the NH-U12S SE-AM4.
