Verdict and Conclusion
That’s everything. In conclusion, the extra fan does a reasonable job setting up a push-pull system and giving us better temperatures at higher speeds without raising the ambient noise level.
Not once did the thermal sensor ever break 70oC, nor did the fan(s) become a strain on my ears, and that’s pretty darn good.
The NF-A15 sells for about $25.00 USD, and again I think that’s pretty fair considering the fan is big yet silent and gives you the option of using with your CPU or case.
However, it’s true it really only pays off if bought to complement the heatsink, otherwise you’re spending a lot on a case fan that could otherwise be bought for much less. Overall though, I like the combo and I think you will too.
Pros:
- Quiet
- Good airflow.
- Easy installation
Cons:
- Relatively pricey on its own.
