Installation
Now with every new install we always follow the same procedures of taking out the old hardware and cleaning all the new parts and CPU with isopropyl Alcohol. This part of the install has become second nature to me. What is always the unknown is what steps am I going to have to take actually get this new slick piece of hardware up and running. Skimming through the user guide never hurts and do not be ashamed if you have to follow the instructions line by line as some coolers can have a pretty complex install process.
Now for the Phanteks PH-TC14S the install was, for the most part, painless. After you remove the preinstalled fan and attach the brackets to the to backplate. It is a simple step tightening down the two retaining screws. If you are working with a small area putting the fan back on could be a small task if you do not remove the motherboard to initially install the cooler.
