Verdict and conclusion
Scythe does have a lot of CPU coolers on their name, but there is always room for new and good coolers. I really like the Scythe Ashura fot its good cooling performance and looks, the easy mounting is also a big plus. The heatsink is made for a 140mm fan, what is a really good thing because you have better cooling with lesser RPM then a 120mm fan so its quieter!
The cooling performance is also very good, for a price of 40 Euro’s the Ashura is really good value for the money. Lets take a look at all the positive points of the Scythe Ashura!
Pros:
- Easy to install
- compatible with all Intel and AMD sockets
- Nice, clean look
- Push/Pull configuration will be no problem when using High-profile memory dimms
- Sleeved fan cable
There is also a negative part…
Cons:
- Thermal past is a bit clumsy a tube would be better instead of the sac.
Final Words
If you have a relatively small case and you want to install an aftermarket CPU cooler but almost everything is too big or if you want to have high-profile memory and other coolers don’t fit, The Scythe Ashura is something for you, good cooling performance, awesome looks and fairly small! I Really Recommend it!
