SilentiumPC Grandis 3 EVO ARGB CPU Cooler Review

Closer Look / Product Photos

SilentiumPC Grandis 3 EVO ARGB arrived in a retail package, which is a medium-size box. It’s about as large as that of the Fortis cooler and has a similar design. The exterior will tell us about everything about the product inside, including dimensions and full specifications listed on this review’s previous page.

Inside the box, we will find everything required to install the cooler. Installation isn’t hard, but it’s still worth taking a look at the manual to ensure we use the correct mounting elements. The manual has clear to understand pictures, so even less advanced users won’t have any problems.

The installation itself isn’t hard, but we have to check if no motherboard components interfere with the mounting plate. We had a little issue with some ITX motherboards that could be easily corrected.

The Grandis 3 EVO ARGB uses two semi-transparent fans. One fan is 140mm with up to 1400 RPM while the other one is 120mm and 1600 RPM. Both fans are quiet, and because of used materials are spreading the light well.

The nano-reset ARGB is a convenient small controller, a great addition, especially for users who don’t have a motherboard with an ARGB connector. It works great and is smaller than competitive controllers so that it can be installed even in the smallest PC cases.

The heatsink itself is quite big and has a twin-tower design. The nickel-plated base covers six heat pipes. Everything would be great, but our cooler had a scratch, which you can see in the photos. It looks like a matter of quality control as the “warning” sticker was in its place. It shouldn’t affect results much but is still worth mentioning.

Below are a couple of photos with the cooler during work. The ARGB looks excellent, especially in a dark room. As I mentioned earlier, the milky-white fans are spreading the light well what gives an additional effect.

On the next page, we will tell you some more about the Grandis 3 EVO ARGB cooler’s performance.
