Conclusion and Verdict
First things first, this is a cooler and needs to be able to keep your hardware nice and cool. So we threw the hottest we had and as you can see when I tested the 11900K it was able to keep it sub 100 degrees Celsius. I pushed it using the FPU test in Aida64 and it topped out at 87 degrees. I can honestly say I was expecting to be closer to 100 and see some thermal throttling. This was at 4.8GHz (stock settings) so we have a little room to even push this chip a little more. A lot of the cooling capabilities come from the fans. We covered just these fans in an earlier review and I was thoroughly impressed with them at the time. They are by no means cheap and a lot of what you are paying for when you buy this cooler. 40 dollars are going into the fans alone. But they are well worth the 2500 RPMs you get out of them. They are decibel quite but have a noticeable fan noise when maxed out. Not quite a drone taking off but not far from sounding like you are launching a drone in your case. They do move a ton of air though. That is probably why we were able to achieve a better than expected temperature result. I know for a fact if you tries this on an air cooler the 11900K would have throttled in the first 10 seconds of the test.
This cooler has premium components. The hoses are braided and the radiator has a nice black coating.
Lastly, and for one of the coolest features of this cooler the screen. So I have asked my self, would I absolutely love to see GIFs on a Pump screen? Hands down, YES! I don’t care if it use memory or CPU. Now days we have plenty to spare. I would even let a Youtube video play if I could. But I guess I will settle with a GIF. You can use any GIF that is 480×480 or below. This is such an awesome feature and gives your system unlimited personalization. It is really cool to glance over and see your pump displaying a mini video! Not only that there are several built in read-out that display important system temps in real-time!
