Thermaltake TOUGHLIQUID Ultra 360 All-In-One Liquid Cooler Review

Conclusion and Verdict

If I recall, I’ve only ever had one AIO cooler with a 360mm radiator during my time at Funky Kit. At the time (around 6 years ago), the CPU waterblock was small and pretty inadequate for the CPU. The only reason why I used it, was because I wanted to mount this 360mm radiator at the front of the case cooled by some nice RGB fans. Forward 6 years, AIO coolers now come with a decent copper base water blocks, built-in RGB lighting and temperature monitoring.

The Thermaltake TOUGHLIQUID Ultra 360 is one of those AIO coolers that has it all, and ticks all the right boxes for me. It comes with a 360mm radiator, a large copper base water block, 3 x Toughfan Turbo,  2.1-inch LCD display … all controlled by TT’s RGB Plus 2.0 software.

During our tests, we used an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X processor that has a toasty 170w TDP. Idle temperatures was around 38 degrees Celsius. To my surprise, full load temperature reached a high of only 87 degrees Celsius, which is excellent.

As I mentioned earlier in the review, I didn’t use the included Toughfan Turbo fans, because I wanted full RGB lighting effects with the fans facing the front of the case. So, instead, we used Thermaltake’s SWAFAN 12 RGB fans, which gives me a pull-push configration with reverse airflow.

And finally, the main feature of the AIO cooler is the 2.1-inch LCD display. Using the downloadable TT RGB Plus 2.0 software, you can monitor CPU and memory frequency, temperatures, memory speed, as well as CPU/GPU/Memory load, as well as upload animated GIFs or photos for that extra personalization. I love it!
