The Heatkiller IV for GTX 1080Ti comes in a small, flat box with a foam fitting what is enough to protect the product for the time of transport. In the box we can find everything we may need to install the water block and a user’s manual. Manual is clear and simple. If you follow the steps then you shouldn’t have any issues with installation.
Backplate is a separate product which is in a bubble bag. It also includes all parts for the installation and additional thermal pads. Depends if we wish to use backplate or not, there are two ways to install the Heatkiller so also two sets of screws. In the manual everything is described while we will show you how to install the Heatkiller with the backplate.
Everything is perfect. All parts fit like they should. Backplate looks a bit weird on the backside but on this side it doesn’t have to be perfectly polished, it works and fits perfectly as every other part of the kit. Front looks great as you see on the photos. There is also laser cut Heatkiller IV sign in the corner.
Front side of the block has really nice effect. Even though it doesn’t look like, it seems pretty durable. I didn’t want to test that but it looks not so easy to scratch during normal usage and finger prints are hard to see what let it to look good for longer. It also reflects everything, nearly like mirror. I had some problems to show its surface without any reflected objects.
CNC work is really impressive. Every little shape was milled exactly like it should. There are also built-in spacers which help in installation so you can be sure that everything is in place.
Since I mentioned installation then let’s move to the next page where I will show how to install the Heatkiller IV on the GTX1080 Ti graphics card.
