XSPC RayStorm Pro CPU Waterblock Review

Verdict and Conclusion

When it comes to watercooling, I love a decent looking waterblock that you can show off (with LEDs preferably)… and the XSPC RayStorm Pro does just that. Most waterblocks on the market are pretty dull in terms on looks and appearance. I had a look at the Swiftech Apogee XLC, which offered a nice LED logo (white, blue or red), but it was extremely expensive costing around USD $100 or more.

In the end I decided to get the XSPC RayStorm Pro. The build quality is excellent, thanks the CNC machine cut, pure copper construction. It offers good looks plus you get the option to add your own LEDs.

The cooling performance was good. Temperatures at idle and full load were pretty low … all thanks to our Thermaltake Pacific RL240 D5 watercooling kit.

Costing around $65-75.00 USD for the XSPC RayStorm Pro waterblock, I think it’s an absolute bargain. Not only will you get a great looking CPU waterblock, but also decent cooling performance as well as the option to change the colour of your LEDs.

Pros:

  • Great price
  • Great looking waterblock
  • CNC machines pure copper construction
  • LED holes
  • Aluminium bracket with acrylic inserts

Cons:

  • None I can think of
