There’s actually a lot of attachments that you get inside the box:
- 1* Computer case strip Controller
- 4* Smart RGB LED Light Strip
- 4* 4 Pin Male Connector
- 3* 4pin Connecting Cable between LED strips
- 1* 4pin Connecting Cable between controller and LED strip
- 1* USB cable
- 1* PC DC5V power supply cable
- 1* User Manual
Housed in metal the central controller connects up to your power supply and in turn illuminates all the LEDs on the strip.
As Dream Color does not manufacturer PC chassis, the LED strip relies on being powered by a 4 pin IDE drive cable from your PSU, so if you are using a modular power supply its time to hunt down those cables you have stored away in the box.
Dream Color has chosen to use a black background to their LED strips and it goes well in black PC cases. The LEDs itself are positioned an inch apart, whilst the Phanteks LED strips I am currently using are much closer together at around 1.5cm apart.
The Dream Color PC Case LED strip are attached to the inside of your PC case by either the weak square magnets that you can see above, or by the 3M adhesive tape that run the full length of the strips.
Each of the 4 LED strips have a male end and female end, this allows the LED strips to be connected directly in sequence or with the extension cables provided. With the extension cables, attaching the LED strips inside a PC case is made much easier when you encounter corners.
