Enermax SABERAY Tower Chassis Review

The SABERAY arrived in a really large box. All was well protected for the time of transport and nothing was damaged. There is a tempered glass side of the case what usually gives the most worries.

Inside the package, we will find everything required for installation. Many parts of the case can be disassembled without any tools so there are also not many screws in the package. We will need screws to mount the motherboard, PSU, drives, and cooling. Pretty much typical for most PC cases.

Top and front covers can be removed and replaced without any tools. Simply push the side and it will unlock the cover. We can also decide if we wish acryl front or better mesh for higher airflow. Everything is in the package and we can decide while building our PC.

All ports on the top of the case have rubber anti-dust plugs. I think it’s a good idea and all who have seen their PC case after longer usage will probably agree. Not many brands decided to use something like this.

The side window is quite thick. Tempered glass has 4mm and looks amazing with lighting. It’s a nice move from typical acrylic windows which were showing scratches after not so long usage. The only thing which was really annoying was the sticker with a warning about the fragile glass. It took me some time till I removed it. It could be printed on another material or simply used glue could be easier to remove.

For sure the SABERAY offers high airflow. There is a lot of space inside the case and fans can cover the nearly whole front and top of the case. We are able to install water cooling in multiple places or simply install fans instead of additional radiators. On the back we can install 120/140mm fan or small radiator but who would install radiator there when there is so much space on top or in front of the case. In our build, we’ve used Enermax LIQFUSION 240 AIO on the front side of the case. You can see it on the next page of this article.

Inside the case, we can install up to two 3.5″ HDD and up to 6 2.5″ HDD/SSD. I guess it’s more than enough as many users pick M.2 SSD nowadays and use cloud storage or other services. There is also space for 5.25″ ODD but who still uses that? Enthusiasts and modders will probably use it for information panel with temperature sensors or other similar devices.

The case comes with four pre-installed fans and there is one thing I can’t really understand. All fans are high quality and offer good performance. However, front fans are equipped with RGB LEDs which are synchronized with LED stripes on the outside of the case. It gives a great effect. On the other hand, the fan on the back of the case is simply black without any LEDs. Even though it’s a good fan, I think that LEDs are missing to fill the space when we look inside the case. Our build contains additional three RGB fans on top of the case what is a perfect option for the SABERAY.

T.B. RGB fans are high-quality and offer really good performance. I was comparing their performance a while ago and they match top series from the competition. Additionally, there is something that most competition doesn’t have, unique RGB lighting with full control via remote control. Three-pack of these fans also includes a control panel where you can connect up to eight RGB fans and two additional devices. Nice deal I can say.
