DIY Arc Reactor Kit Review

img_0812

Just a simple leaflet manual is packaged with the kit, highlighting the parts included and just 10 steps in the build.

I apologize for not including any photos as I was building my arc reactor, my fingers were constantly covered by super glue. It took a total of 3 hours to complete, and there are several tips I can recommend:

  • remove all the paper adhesives on the acrylic pieces beforehand
  • do not use any sharp objects to help you peel the adhesives, it will scratch the acrylic
  • in the manual, from my non-existent Chinese, I believe it says to use 15cm of copper wire per filling. Use at least a metre of it as there are plenty in the roll

Don’t be fooled by the 10 steps, each step involves a lot of work, but here’s the completed arc reactor.

Not bad at all! The end product is lighter than it looks, making it ideal to mount on my mod.

The arc reactor is approximately 8cm in diameter and 6cm in depth.

Looks the business, doesn’t it?! If you look closely, I used a little too much super glue in some places and I could have used more copper wiring on the edges.

Next is the arc reactor switched on!
