Photos & Videos
The Insta360 Nano is capable of recording video at up to 3K resolution (3,040 x 1,520) at 30fps, but you may find the video quality a little underwhelming with some noise and artifacts here and there. This is probably down to just how small the camera sensors are in 360 cameras, so you will find over-exposure on well-lit objects, and shadows with no details.
Image stitching within the app can lead to some ghosting where the two images overlap. This is another common problem with 360 cameras as the software is not good enough to figure out and overlay the same objects.
The in-built microphone is a little flat, and when recording video in an open area, your voice will sometimes gets lost. Not that the background sounds are picked up any clearer, it just the microphone is not very powerful. It would have been great if the Insta360 Nano allowed me to use other microphones instead of the in-build one.
For taking photos, press the shutter button in the app and there’s about a 3 second delay for you to get set up…..some people will need this length in time to get their selfie-sticks into position.
