Verdict and Conclusion
Well, what can I say … the Intel Pentium G4560 surprised us all. It performed better than we expected and competed amicably against its bigger siblings the 6600K and 7600K. In tests, the G4560 struggled in CPU intensive applications however, it did perform nicely in PCMark, Time Spy and PC Performance Tests.
Please note that the G4560 is NOT a K version of the Intel’s Kaby Lake. It is in fact a locked dual processor running at 3.5GHz with only 4 threads and 3Mb cache. Which sadly means you can’t overclocking it. Currently only the quad core 7600K and 7700K are unlocked, but it’s x4-x6 more expensive than the G4560.
Remember, the G4560 is not really aimed at the enthusiast, overclocker or even extreme gamer… Instead, it’s primarily for the average user or system builder who wants to deliver a decent performing Kaby Lake system that’s both affordable and accessible.
The processor currently retails for around USD $65-75.00, making it THE best value for money processor you can buy right now! Buy it now at Amazon – https://goo.gl/5AKr5j
Final words:
If you’re after a budget processor from Intel that can perform daily tasks with occasional gaming … then there’s no question, the Intel Pentium G4560 is your answer. It’s a dual core Kaby Lake with 4 threads at $65.00 … what more do you want?!
