Verdict and Conclusion
I don’t care what anyone says … Dell business laptops are good, and I mean it. In fact, these business laptops has to be good, especially when you need portability, reliability and of course stability. Now you don’t want your laptop to fail during important meetings, do you?
Fair enough, Dell business laptops are not designed for everyone, and yes they suck at games … but you have to remember, these are business laptops and are designed solely for that purpose.
When it comes to size, the Dell Latitude 7210 2-in-1 extremely thin, and measures just 0.37″ (9.35mm) height x 11.5″ (292mm) width x 8.22″ (208.8mm) depth, and weighing in at only 1.87lbs … that’s 0.85kg! It’s a full power laptop in the size of a tablet!
Spec-wise, the Dell Latitude 7210 2-in-1 laptop is pretty packed with features. You get an Intel 10th Gen Core™ i7 quad core processor, with 16GB of LPDDR3 ram, along with a 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD. It also comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen FHD panel with 1920×1080 resolution, a ton of connectivity options and a lovely magnetic Aluminum detachable keyboard (sold separately).
As far as performance is concerned, the Dell Latitude 7210 managed to get a score of 1,626 in PCMark 10, and for PCMark 9, it got a score 3,908. 3DMark Skydiver score was 872, while Cinebench score was a mere 579. It goes to show that Intel’s UHD is really showing its age.
The laptop comes with a 2 Cell 38Whr ExpressCharge battery which Dell claims you’ll be able to gain 35% charge in about 20 minutes. There’s no mention of how long the actual battery life is. But I able to use the laptop continuously for around 4-5 hours before I needed charging.
Don’t expect Dell laptops to be cheap anymore … it’s not like the old days where you can get one for $100 cheaper than the competition. Nowadays, Dell is classed as a mid-range to premium brand, and it shows in the quality of their products. You can buy the Dell Latitude 7210 2-in-1 Business Detachable Laptop from various retailers including Amazon for around USD $2,100 – https://amzn.to/32mFGjB

Final Thoughts
Although the performance is a little contentious, the Dell Latitude 7210 2-in-1 has so many things going for it. Its size, weight and looks appeal to so many business users. It’s a shame that the Intel 10th Gen processor still uses the aging UHD onboard graphics. I just wished they could have included their next gen iGPU, the Iris Xe … which unfortunately is only available on Intel’s next generation of processors – Tiger Lake (11th Gen).
