The Dell Latitude E7270 Ultrabook certainly is slim and compact … however, it’s not as thin as their flagship Ultrabook, the XPS13. Having said that, it’s still a nice looking and streamline notebook feature a carbon style cover.

The Internals

The review sample we received is powered by Intel’s latest 6th generation Core i5 processor running at 2.4 GHz, featuring Integrated HD Graphics 520 and comes with 8GB DDR4-2133MHz ram and 256Gb SSD storage. The largest component of the laptop is the 55W li-ion battery, which gives you around 5-6 hours of heavy usage according Dell.

The DDR4-2133MHz ram comes from SK Hynix, while the SSD is produced by Samsung and uses the latest msata M.2 interface. With these 2 big brands, you can be sure you’ll getting decent performance on your laptop. There’s an extra slot for more ram … upto a total capacity of 16GB.

 

Connectivity

As far as connectivity goes, you get 1 x Gigabit ethernet port (yes they still exists), 1 x HDMI, 1 x mini Displayport, and 2 x USB 3.0 ports. On the right-hand side, there’s also a SD card slot, an extra USB 3.0 port, 1 x 3.5mm headset jack and a slot for SIM cards used with your telecoms/cellular services.
