Specification
The reviewed memory is of course based on the first option from the above table so four 4GB, single sided modules. This can be also found as single rank memory.
ADATA guarantees product’s functionality, reliability, and compatibility within any operating environment. All DDR4 memory modules are tested by ADATA’s own test program, MRS. MRS is a proprietary DOS program used for system-level testing. MRS has been proven to provide test coverage that is superior to other SLT programs like memtest86+, RST Pro, and Golden Memory. In addition to test coverage, MRS supports multi-core CPUs and the latest Intel/AMD platforms to ensure efficiency and compatibility. |
Below is a screenshot from the ASUS Mem TweakIt software which is showing a more detailed SPD profile of the ADATA DDR4-2133 memory kit.
Closer Look
The memory has been shipped in a pretty simple cardboard box with only the ADATA logo. There is also a security sticker which says that the memory is supposed to be still inside if the sticker is not damaged.
The sticker was not damaged and inside we found the 4 memory sticks in an additional plastic box.
The ADATA Premier Pro memory looks like any other standard DDR4. The main difference which we can see is the manufacturer’s label with serial and product numbers.
The PCB is a regular green color which is also a really standard color for desktop memory.
Taking a closer look we can see that the label is also required for the warranty so we better not damage it.
The memory modules are single sided (single rank) which means that the memory chips are only on one side of the PCB. ADATA used Hynix IC for the Premier Pro DDR4-2133 memory; however you can find this IC from other brands like Samsung.
There is not much more to say about the memory build itself as there are no heatsinks or any additional accessories so maybe we will just move onto the next page and take a closer look at the performance which is the most important after all.
