Package and its Contents
ADATA Spectrix D50 memory arrived in a retail package which is a well-described flat box. The package keeps a similar design to that of other gaming memory kits. On the back of the box are little windows presenting product and serial numbers. It’s already a standard for higher gaming series memory kits.
Inside of each box, we will find two 8GB memory modules rated at DDR4-3600 CL17-21-21 1.35V. Modules are single-rank and are based on Hynix D-die, closer known as DJR. Hynix IC is known to work great on Intel platforms, and for Intel was designed the tested memory kit.
The design of the Spectrix D50 ROG Certified memory is exceptional. Even without additional RGB illumination, it looks amazing. The design seems simple, but black-mirror heatsinks are all we need to be satisfied with the looks.
The RGB illumination is one of the key features, so it’s hard not to say a couple of words about it. Below you can see a couple of photos presenting the test rig during work. The RGB works without issues on the ASUS motherboard, and also all the colors are perfectly matched on other devices, like the graphics card, the case fans, or the motherboard.
ASUS software recognizes our RAM without issues and can program all the color modes and synchronize them with other devices.
Photos were taken on the ASUS Strix B550-XE Gaming motherboard, but it should work great with all ASUS ROG motherboard series and other motherboard brands.
On the next page of this review, we will take a closer look at the performance.
