Over the last few years, Adata have released several product lines including their XPG series (Xtreme Performance Gear) designed for performance users, enthusiasts and gamers. Here’s a quick list of their XGP line up:

Today we’re checking out some of Adata’s newest ram, it’s in the XPG Gaming 2.0 series, has a blisteringly fast rated speed of 2000mhz, a nice big capacity of 6gb (in the form of three 2gb sticks) and is specifically designed for the Intel X58 chipset and Core i7 9xx series CPUs.
These memory modules are aimed and targeted at the higher-end user and extreme enthusiasts, and uses high quality 2oz copper 8 layers PCB, as well as fully supporting XMP (for motherboards that have this option in the BIOS). The memory modules also feature some nice looking heatsinks, they’re made from solid aluminum and have plenty of surface area to keep the ram ICs nice and cool.
To test these we’ll be using the official Bobnova X58 Test Box using:
- Intel Core i7 950 3.2ghz CPU.
- Asus Rampage II Extreme X58 motherboard.
