Verdict and Conclusion
I have to admit that I was skeptical when I got this kit, it looked like a lot of show for ok-ish timings and a decent speed. Boy was I wrong! This is a solid kit of ram! It runs pretty cool even overclocked and at it’s maximum rated voltage, and has much better performance then I expected.
I’m having a hard time finding a MSRP, but the 2x2gb kit runs about $80, as such I would expect this kit to cost around the $120 mark.
That’s a decent price for this kit, not fantastic but not bad either. There are only a couple cheaper kits, and neither of them have the combination of high rated voltage for overclocking and the large heatspreaders for cool operation.
Final words. Overall I’m quite happy with this ram, it not only meets it’s rated timings with ease but has plenty of overclocking and voltage room above them. That added to a good price and good looks results in a very good kit of ram!
I’d like to see a XMP profile for 1866mhz operation so that users with CPUs that can’t run the full 2000mhz don’t have to come up with their own, and It’d be nice to have the kit come with a fan like many of the other kits in it’s performance/price range do.
Winston’s Comments. I’ve always been a fan of Adata memory products. They’re very affordable, offers good performance and I use them for overclocking all the time. These 6Gb Kits from Adata are are ideal for any gaming enthusiasts who wants to enable XMP in their BIOS and/or wants to play with a little overclocking. I have no problems recommending them.
