Conclusion and Verdict
Intially, I had my doubts about DDR5 but after running these modules through our benchmarks, all I have to say is wow! I’m now a believer of DDR5. The results speak for themselves. During the AIDA64 memory tests, we got a memory read speed of 94,819 MB/s, with a write speed of 83,467 MB/s and a copy speed of 84,366 MB/s. These are the fastest I’ve seen to date … Remember, I’m running everything at default speed of DDR5-6000 (no overclocking yet).
The build quailty of these memory kits are excellent, with a large black heatspreader that does an effective job of cooling the ram. Furthermore, these memory kits uses memory chips made by SK Hynix, which are known to overclock well, plus they’ve also included on-die error correcting code (ECC) for these memory modules.
Compatibility is a dream. It worked perfectly at the default speed of DDR5-6000 with XMP 3.0 profiles enabled in the BIOS. All other settings were set at default. As for RGB illumination, the colours were bright, eye-catching and works great with ASRocks Polychrome RGB software. It should also work with no issues with other RGB eco-systems such as Asus AURA sync, Gigabyte Fusion and MSI Mystic Light.
Currently DDR5 memory is very expensive, plus you need a motherboard that can support DDR5 ram. So you need to decide carefully if you really want to go the DDR5 route. It’s a very heavy investment. Final Thoughts
You’ll need to have deep pockets of you’re going all-in on DDR5.
