Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-9200 CUDIMM 48GB Memory Kit Review

Conclusion and Verdict

When I first heard about CUDIMMs, I thought someone made it up and was facetiously trolling the DIY community. But after doing some research and reading more about CUDIMMs, I realize it’s something that next-gen Intel 800-Series motherboards are capable of supporting with the latest BIOS.

For those who don’t know … CUDIMM is an acronym for Clocked Unbuffered Dual Inline Memory Module. It’s a new type of DDR5 memory module that offers up to 15% faster than traditional non-clock unbuffered DDR5 memory.

It’s able to do this due to a built-in clock driver, which provides good stability and this means it can run at 8,000 – 9,000 MT/s speeds and beyond. The only down side is the high CAS latency.

With all memory settings on AUTO and XMP 3.0 enabled with Profile 1 selected, the Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-9200 CUDIMM 48GB memory kits produced excellent scores in all of our benchmarks. During the AIDA64 memory tests, we got a Memory Read speed of 111,620 MB/s, Write speed of 86,,487 MB/s and a Copy speed of 99,377 MB/s.

One thing I love about these memory modules is that the’re XMP 3.0 certified. Which means all I had to do was just select the XMP Profile 1 in the BIOS and “Save” and that’s it!  No more messing around with voltages or memory timings. All other settings in the BIOS were left untouched on AUTO.

At this speed, there’s no need to overclock to be honest. They’re fast enough … provided that your motherboard is capable of supporting CUDIMMs. Please refer to your motherboard manual or visit their QVL page for more information.

For cooling, each memory module comes with a solid Aluminium heat spreaders with a unique mirror finish. It looks absolutely stunning and gives it great aesthetics.

The Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-9200 CUDIMM 48GB kit will works flawlessly with Corsair’s iCUE software for dynamic RGB lighting. Each memory module feature ten individual, ultra-bright, addressable RGB LEDs encased in a panoramic light bar, giving you stunning lighting effects.

So are CUDIMM memory worth getting? Well, right now these memory kits are optimized for Intel 800-Series motherboards or newer, so if you have an older motherboard, then the answer is no. Another thing to consider is the price and availability. CUDIMM memory kits cost significantly more than traditional DDR5 memory, so it’s really targeted at the extreme enthusiast who want the fastest memory speeds possible.

You can buy the Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-9200 CUDIMM 48GB Memory Kit for around USD $389 from Corsair’s website – https://tinyurl.com/mvsbrkjb

Final Thoughts

If you’re one of those enthusiasts with deep pockets that want nothing other than the fastest memory possible for their next-gen motherboard, then the Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-9200 CUDIMM 48GB Memory Kits are for you. These memory kits are guarranteed to give you excellent performance and great aesthetics.
