Conclusion
Crucial gave us the first worldwide available CUDIMM, but even though it has a good memory, it’s far from the expected frequencies of the competitive brands.
We had no problems with the stability or compatibility of the tested Crucial CUDIMM memory kit. Everything was perfect, and the memory was overclocking exceptionally well due to the integrated clock driver.
The standard Crucial series memory doesn’t have RGB illumination or other fancy additions that could raise the price. The clean black PCB still looks good and should match every motherboard.
The Crucial 32GB DDR5-6400 CUDIMM memory kit is about $169.99 and can be purchased directly from the Crucial online store. It’s clearly too much if we compare its performance and features to Crucial Pro Overclocking and competitive options from other brands.
A lifetime warranty and free support cover all Crucial memory kits, including the tested DDR5 memory kit.
Final words:
Crucial’s first CUDIMM memory is faster than the regular DIMM at JEDEC profiles. However, at a much higher price and lower performance than competitive products, it’s hard to recommend it. Crucial CUDIMM is an interesting option for those who wish to use CUDIMM modules. Still, the same motherboards support better-performing and significantly cheaper UDIMMs, like the recently reviewed Crucial Pro Overclocking 32GB DDR5-6400, which costs nearly $70 less for the same capacity.
