Crucial Ballistix Sport LT has one profile – DDR4-2400 CL16-16-16-39 at which it’s perfectly stable. Below you can see screenshot after over six hours of full memory load in AIDA64 stability test. This test is using about 97% of free memory on our test rig.
Memory was tested on ASRock Z170 OC Formula and MSI Z170I Gaming Pro AC motherboards. In both cases we haven’t seen any issues.
Closer Look
Our review memory kit contains two 16GB memory modules in separated boxes. Both modules are based on exactly the same memory chips so we don’t have to worry about compatibility. All Crucial memory kits are based on Micron IC.
Package is transparent so we can see what to expect inside. Since it’s RAM then we won’t get much more than memory modules but we don’t really need anything else.
Memory modules have black PCB which matches brand new red camo heatsinks. I’m glad to see that Crucial decided to release additional colors of heatsinks. We can also see great looking white modules with white PCB what is quite rare combination on our market. Maybe we will see something like Crucial Ballistix Tracer with LEDs in some time. Hard to say but we count on Crucial in this matter.
Crucial Ballistix Sport LT is low profile memory so you can install it without any issues under even large CPU coolers. On the photo is one example how it looks like with CRYORIG R1 cooler ( expect review soon ). Crucial red heatsinks also match MSI Z170I Gaming Pro AC motherboard on which I was performing part of the tests. Heatsinks have deep red color what is great as many other kits on the market are pale red or something closer to dark pink.
Photos are better than my description so let’s take a look at the gallery.
