Essencore KLEVV BOLT V 32GB DDR5-6800 CL34 Memory Kit Review

Overclocking

Disclaimer: Overclocking is never guaranteed, and the results may vary depending on certain conditions and hardware configurations. I do not recommend overclocking if you do not know what you are doing. High voltages may damage hardware, and the warranty will not cover it.

The tested BOLT V is another KLEVV memory kit that uses Hynix A-die IC, Richtek PMIC, and high-quality PCB. We could see the same components on higher series at even 8000MT/s. The tested memory kit can reach 8400MT/s, but it’s hard to keep it stable because of memory controllers and motherboards. We decided to work on stability at 8200MT/s, which is acceptable for extended work at 1.45V VDD/VDDQ. As you can see, the main timings are close to what we can find in 8000/8200MT/s kits.

I recommend setting the memory clock lower for daily usage, like 8000MT/s or even 7600MT/s, as the performance gain is insignificant.

The settings are not fully tuned so that the results could be a bit better, but not so much better, so it would matter during daily usage. I assume that competitive overclockers care for 1% higher memory performance, but gamers would exchange that for improved stability.

The BOLT V is another excellent memory kit from KLEVV for demanding overclockers and gamers. It doesn’t require manual tuning, but if we wish to, the high overclocking potential and high-end components let us play with various settings and improve already high performance.
