Package and its Contents
KLEVV CRAS V memory arrived in a retail package, a cardboard box with transparent blister protection inside for memory modules. This is the most common package type for gaming series RAM, and it protects the contents well.
The package is well described, with all the features and main specifications. There is also information about support and various safety certificates. There is no additional manual, but it’s not required, as the installation is straightforward, and every motherboard has an installation guide.
Inside the box, we will find two 24GB memory modules rated at DDR5-7200 CL34-44-44 1.40V. This specification is safe for newer and older motherboards and processors with weak memory controllers. Every 13th-generation Intel or Ryzen 7000 and newer processor should handle it without issues.
The modules are 44mm tall, so they are not low-profile but should still fit under all modern CPU coolers. Most cooler brands have already corrected their products, and nearly every CPU cooler works with tall memory modules. As long as a low profile is advantageous, it’s not so important nowadays, especially when many users decide on AIO liquid coolers.
The heatsinks have nearly the same design as regular CRAS V RGB modules. Their dual color makes them look unique, which is expected when buying a special ROG edition memory kit.
The RGB illumination works without issues with ASRock or Gigabyte software. Although all leading motherboard brands are on the list, we had only those two ready for tests.
The attached photos show how the CRAS V memory looks. It presents well on a test rig and should ideally match white, black, or silver motherboards.
On the next page of this review, we will take a closer look at the performance.
