G.Skill ARES 2133 package looks rather standard, like for most available memory. It’s good enough to protect memory for the time of delivery and has all most important information like product name and number, short specification or producer’s contact info and address in case of RMA.
As you already noticed memory comes with blue heatsinks. There is also a shorter version with orange heatsinks and slightly lower memory timings.
Heatspreaders have been made in memory’s standard height low profile design so it shouldn’t be an issue to use it with larger processor coolers. It’s also enough to keep temperature of the modules nice and low, as the memory chips are not getting hot even during overclocking at higher voltages.
Since we already mentioned memory chips, G.Skill ARES is based on the quite popular Hynix CFR series that we can find in a large variety modules from DDR3-1600 to DDR3-2800.
There is also one thing that computer enthusiasts like – black PCB. Changes nothing except good looks.
