Closer Look
There is nothing extraordinary on the package side. G.Skill shipped Ripjaws 4 memory in the usual blister package which is quite good option as it’s transparent so you can see what is inside and is durable so can protect memory well.
Except memory there is also small G.Skill logo sticker. Not much but it’s always nice add-on.
Memory has product number F4-2666C15Q-16GRR what tells us that inside is quad channel 16GB kit working at declared speed of DDR4-2666 and CL15. Looking at the label we can find additional info about voltage which is 1.2V.
Inside the package we can find an info that our brand new memory has been well tested and offers top quality and performance. G.Skills offers lifetime warranty and technical support via online forum, Facebook, telephone and email.
Serial number is suggesting us that inside the modules we can find Hynix IC and closer it’s MFR series that we can find in lower and higher G.Skill kits. Of course memory chips are selected for optimal work at declared clocks so DDR4-3000 will be probably based on slightly better IC than DDR4-2666. On the overclocking page we will see how it really looks like with our review kit.
G.Skill Ripjaws 4 has new aluminum heatspreaders. Our kit is red but there are also black and blue kits. Everyone will find something that matches their PC color scheme.
