HP V10 RGB 16GB DDR4-3600 CL14 Memory Kit Review

Conclusion and Verdict

The HP V10 RGB 16GB DDR4-3600 memory kit is about as good as the previously reviewed Acer Predator Apollo. Both are on top of the list regarding performance at XMP settings and overclocking potential. The HP V10 RGB arrived a bit late to revolutionize the gaming gear market but is for sure an interesting memory series that delivers high performance and compatibility. DDR4 memory will be popular for some more time, so the HP V10 RGB is still a good investment.

The HP V10 RGB 16GB (8GBx2) DDR4-3600 CL14 memory costs around $150 in popular online stores like Amazon. I assume that the price will drop some more but even at $150 it seems reasonable as the competition can’t offer anything better.

HP memory kits are covered by a 5-year warranty. Most memory kits on the market have a lifetime warranty, so it seems worse and better at the same time. Worse because lifetime sounds much longer. It is better because actual lifetime warranty terms don’t say that the warranty is infinite, but depending on the brand, it can be one or two years after the end of production. In real it may also mean three years. In this case, we have to read warranty terms to be sure, but let’s be honest, who reads warranty terms?

Pros:

  • Compatible with AMD and Intel chipsets
  • Easy to install and configure
  • Amazing RGB effects
  • High overclocking potential
  • High performance

Cons:

  • Nothing worth to mention

Final words:

The HP V10 RGB 16GB DDR4-3600 memory kit is fast and has high overclocking potential. It’s also compatible with a wide range of motherboards and RGB eco-systems. The HP V10 RGB delivers a perfect combo of high speed and features essential for most gamers. Since the price isn’t high, you can’t go wrong with this memory kit.

HP V10 RGB 16GB DDR4-3600 CL14 memory kit receives a well-deserved Funky Kit Editor’s Choice Award!

Just got some go v10 rn I’m running 3733 14-14-14-34 at 1.515. Do you think I could do 1.6 daily and overclock some more safely? I’d say they cooling in my system is good with lots of fans and my gpu does not heat soak much

It should work fine at 1.6V, but I’m not sure if it’s worth running it at such a high voltage for barely any performance gain (out of benchmarks). It’s safe if RAM is not overheating, but it won’t give you a much higher frequency. Probably 1 or 2 memory ratios higher. 3733 CL14 is already great for gaming or anything else.
