The tested memory kit has two XMP profiles, the same as most HyperX memory kits. If we have any problem running the memory at a higher speed, we can use a lower option. This option is also good for all those who purchased faster memory than their motherboards can handle.
Below are listed SPD and XMP profiles of the HyperX Fury RGB DDR4-3600:
- Default (JEDEC): DDR4-2400 CL17-17-17 @1.2V
- XMP Profile #1: DDR4-3600 CL18-22-22 @1.35V
- XMP Profile #2: DDR4-3000 CL16-18-18 @1.35V
Our memory kit is based on Micron IC, and as Thaiphoon Burner is reading, it’s probably a new batch of Micron E-die. We are used to seeing Micron E-die in lower capacity memory kits, which are usually rated at a higher frequency. New Micron IC already proved many times that it could provide both high frequency and quite low timings.
HyperX, as usual, provided quite relaxed timings because the most important is full compatibility and stability, while not all platforms run at tight timings with high capacity memory modules. As you can see below, there are no problems with our test platform at DDR4-3600.
