Kingston FURY Renegade RGB 48GB DDR5-8400 CUDIMM Memory Kit Review

Overclocking

Disclaimer: Overclocking is never guaranteed so that the results may vary depending on certain conditions and various hardware configurations. I am not recommending overclocking if you do not know what you are doing. High voltages may damage hardware, and the warranty will not cover it.

Kingston FURY Renegade 2x48GB DDR5-8400 memory kit uses Hynix M-die IC, which is the best IC we can find in DDR5 memory kits nowadays. It guarantees high frequencies and still acceptable voltages while overclocking. Since modules get a boost from a clock driver, we can set even higher frequencies without raising the voltage.

On our test rig, we could stabilize 9333MT/s at Gear 4 at CL44 and 1.50V VDD/VDDQ. Voltages are not much higher than in the XMP #1 profile, and the memory kit can work without additional cooling.

Gear 2 would be more optimal at 9200MT/s, but not many processors can handle it. An average Core Ultra CPU will work at 8800-9000MT/s Gear 2 with leading motherboard brands like ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, or MSI. Brands like Biostar can’t support it.

Whether you are into overclocking or not, the FURY Renegade will deliver optimal results for your daily challenges.
