Package and its Contents
FURY Renegade LE arrived in a retail package, a two-layer, flat box twice as thick as a typical RAM package. The box has a unique design, the same as the RAM inside.
The package contains two memory modules and a Kingston Fury logo sticker. This is enough to install our brand-new RAM. The installation is straightforward, and even less advanced users can handle it without problems.
The LE memory kit looks nothing like the Kingston kits that were previously reviewed. The heatsinks are black and red, with carbon stripes. The heatsinks and an RGB light bar on top of them are asymmetric. Like all Kingston memory kits, it also supports infrared synchronization, which is the best option on the market as we don’t need support on the motherboard’s side to synchronize RGB effects. The RGB illumination works excellently on all popular motherboard brands. Kingston also provides its software for RGB management, which has more illumination modes than motherboard software. Below is a screenshot showing the long list of effects.
Heatsinks perform well and look amazing. It’s the best-looking DDR5 RAM from Kingston. Modules are barely taller than the regular FURY Renegade series and should fit under all popular CPU coolers. However, most users who buy them will probably use liquid cooling, so the RAM is not hidden.
As I mentioned, the tested memory kit uses a Hynix M-die IC, the best option for high-performance RAM. There is no better IC for 24GB and 48GB modules that could run at higher frequencies and tighter timings.
Below are some photos of the test platform. In reality, it looks even better. The LE memory kit has a default “racing” mode, which looks like two lights are chasing each other. Even though I like more standard illumination effects, it’s a nice touch to make the memory kit even more special.
The 48GB capacity is perfect for most users nowadays. With rising software demands, it feels like the new minimum for a gaming PC, on which we not only play games but also keep other applications running in the background.
