Kingston FURY Renegade RGB Limited Edition 48GB DDR5-8000 CL36 Memory Kit Review

Overclocking

Disclaimer: Overclocking is never guaranteed so that the results may vary depending on certain conditions and various hardware configurations. I am not recommending overclocking if you do not know what you are doing. High voltages may damage hardware, and the warranty will not cover it.

Kingston FURY Renegade 2x24GB DDR5-8000 memory kit uses Hynix M-die IC, the best IC we can find in DDR5 memory kits nowadays. It’s the same IC we can find in the best overclocking memory kits, but of course, it passed some additional binning.

In our tests, we could reach 8400MT/s at quite low timings of CL38-48-48 and still acceptable voltages of 1.50V VDD/VDDQ. These settings are close to what most brands offer as an 8000MT/s XMP profile. In other words, it’s the best overclocking 48GB memory kit we had in our redaction.

Considering the high overclocking at reasonable voltages, we can count on a wide range of other settings, starting from CL26/28 at 6000MT/s. However, for new Intel processors, the best option is higher RAM frequencies, which give significantly better results in games and more demanding applications.

Whether you want to overclock the FURY Renegade LE RAM or not, it will provide excellent results in gaming and everything else you do.
