Below we can see how our test motherboard sees HyperX FURY memory. SPD and XMP profiles are the same what means that we don’t have to change anything and at auto settings this memory will run as declared.
For those readers who are interested what can we find under the heatsinks, I can add that Kingston is still using Hynix IC so we can count on tighter timings after overclocking. Most other memory manufacturers are offering memory kits based on Samsung IC what in most cases mean limited overclocking potential.
Closer Look
HyperX FURY comes in nice looking box designed to keep larger memory kits. The same we could see in HyperX FURY kit tested some time ago.
Outside we can see product and serial numbers, information about warranty and couple of additional logos. Nothing really special but enough for what every user needs.
We can also see large “FACTORY SEALED” stickers which are telling us that we are receiving brand new product, never used out of factory. Every memory module was of course tested in the factory so we don’t have to worry about its quality.
Inside the package we won’t find much. Warranty info and of course four 4GB memory modules. It’s all we are expecting to receive and all we need.
HyperX FURY looks great. Black heatsinks and black PCB with white/silver markings. Looks simple but also high-end, een though it’s not the highest Kingson memory series.
Some more photos as this memory looks simply great.
Now let’s move to the performance and overclocking page where we can find out what HyperX FURY DDR4-2666 has to offer besides good looks.
