Conclusion and Verdict
Choosing Kingston HyperX Na’Vi Edition we are receiving great looking memory with lifetime warranty and good Kingston’s support. If we add cooperation with professional gaming team and high overclocking then we could think it’s a perfect product. However all these advantages are only great looking background to the average performance.
Thinking about professional gaming team we also think about exceptional performance which is helping to win. In this case we are receiving standard performance memory. Special edition product could at least have better specification as DDR3-1600 9-9-9 is already DDR3 standard that we can find even in value series.
The only thing which is helping is a fact that most new games are not taking real advantage from fast memory. New processors and large cache are so fast that memory speed isn’t so important but of course it takes a part in overall system performance.
Since it’s a limited edition memory then availability can be also limited. At the moment we can buy it in couple of larger stores like www.overclockers.co.uk . Price depends from store but average in Europe is about $100 inc. tax. It’s not a low price but since it’s limited edition memory then it’s even reasonable.
Pros:
- Great looks
- Black PCB
- Lifetime warranty
- Problem-free configuration
- Good overclocking
Cons:
- Performance lower than expected
- Average specification for special edition product
Final words:
Kingston HyperX Genesis 8GB DDR3-1600 9-9-9-27 Limited Na’Vi Edition memory is a solid product. We can expect great looks, high quality, lifetime warranty and flawless work … but not exceptional performance.
I hope that Kingston extend Na’Vi series with higher clocked, double-sided memory in not far future. I can recommend 2x 4GB HyperX Na’Vi Limited Edition kit to all who are looking for a high quality, stable and good looking memory in lower price.
