Kingston HyperX Impact 16GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM Memory Review

Conclusion

Kingston HyperX Impact 16GB DDR4-2400 memory kit is probably the best option for all who are planning to buy new laptop with Intel Skylake processor. It’s one of the fastest DDR4 SODIMM memory kits on the market but also offers stability and full compatibility.

As I mentioned in the review, our test laptop couldn’t handle DDR4-2400 settings but HyperX Impact without issues set optimal timings for DDR4-2133 settings. At the end performance isn’t much lower while we still have fast and stable computer.

16GB seems like a perfect capacity for new applications and games. Most games will still work fine at 8GB but there are some titles which can use more RAM.

It’s hard to look for any competition on the SODIMM DDR4 market. Most manufacturers are offering only standard performance memory kits while Kingston decided to deliver something more to the most demanding users. I won’t hide that I was searching for high performance DDR4 SODIMM and in most online stores I could only find HyperX Impact.

Since I mentioned stores then HyperX Impact 16GB DDR4-2400 CL14 memory kit is available for as low as $75. I think it’s a great price for a premium memory series.

Kingston is also offering lifetime warranty and free support what just proves that Kingston is sure about high quality of its products.

Pros:

  • High performance
  • Inexpensive comparing to standard memory kits
  • Memory profiles optimal for all chipsets
  • Great looks ( even though you can’t really see them in laptop )
  • Lifetime warranty

Cons:

  • Nothing worth to mention

If you are looking for the best possible memory upgrade for your new laptop then HyperX Impact DDR4 SODIMM is the memory for you. Even though it’s the fastest memory on our market, it’s also inexpensive. It’s simply the best option for all who are looking for exceptional performance in daily challenges.

We are recommending HyperX Impact 16GB DDR4-2400 memory without any hesitation !!

I was thinking about getting these but all your benchmarks are lower than my stock 16GB SK Hynix DDR4-2133 @15-15-15 so either the Impact or your laptop sucks. I have a MSI GE62 w/6700HQ.

You are reviewing 2400MHz but benching them at 2133mhz because you don’t have a proper test machine…useless! They are slower than stock and you recommend them? Kingston paying you by chance?

I’m guessing the the laptop the reviewer owns does not have the BIOS option on the laptop to run the ram at DDR4-2400.
