AIDA64 Memory and Timings window is showing us one profile, the same as we could see in HyperX FURY memory series. It means there is no XMP profile but maybe even better as we don’t have to count on XMP profile compatibility with every laptop.
Basic SPD profile is already running at optimal settings so 800MHz ( DDR3-1600 ) 9-9-9-27 and 1.35V. AIDA64 had only little issue to read CL value and as we see below it’s 11 while in real it’s working at CL9.
Tested HyperX Impact kit contains two 4GB modules – dual channel kit. 8GB RAM is still optimal for daily work and games. It can be little low when we wish to work with photoshop on large files so all users who need higher capacity can also find HyperX Impact kits based on 8GB modules. In total we can get 16GB or even 32GB as some laptops have four memory slots.
Closer Look
Kingston HyperX Impact comes in plastic, fully transparent memory box with one label which is including memory model and version, serial number and short description.
Inside the package we can find two 4GB memory sticks, HyperX logo sticker and a guide about warranty and memory installation. HyperX Impact has lifetime limited warranty as all other Kingston memory.
Even though we can’t see it during work, HyperX Impact looks really good in black colors. On the label we can find declared voltage of 1.35V and product number. We can also find an info it’s a kit of two memory sticks.
Let’s move to the next page and take a closer look at the performance of Kingston HyperX Impact memory.
