Specification
At the beginning let’s take a look at SPD/XMP profiles. Below there is screen shot from an ASUS Maximus V Gene BIOS/UEFI showing settings on both 4GB sticks.
There are two XMP profiles. XMP#1 is programmed as DDR3-2400 11-13-13 1.65V and XMP#2 is DDR3-2133 11-12-11 1.60V.
AIDA64 sees main profiles about the same but timing table is even longer:
Package
As you see on the below photos, memory has been packed in a plastic box which is a popular package type for RAM.
The label includes basic information about the memory, like product number, capacity and speed. It also says that the memory has been manufactured in China.
Inside the box there are two sticks of memory, a short manual, and warranty information.
A Closer Look
HyperX Predator memory has blue aluminum heatsinks with black X. It looks pretty good, however those users who wish to use this memory with large CPU coolers may have some problems as it’s unnecessarily tall.
The memory’s PCB is green, which is usually seen standard memory than to high end series. It’s barely visible when the memory is installed on the motherboard but computer enthusiasts care about things like that.
Since we know what we are going to test we can move to the performance page.
