Specifications and Features
FEATURES/BENEFITS
Low latency for exceptional DDR4 performance — HyperX Savage DDR4 is a superior combination of fast speeds up to 3000MHz and aggressive timings with latencies of CL12–CL15. It complements Intel’s 2, 4, 6 or 8 core processors for faster video editing, 3D rendering, gaming and AI processing.
Optimized for Intel’s 100 series and X99 chipsets — Built-in Intel XMP profiles are optimized for Intel 100 series chipsets and X99 motherboards. Users can easily overclock their platforms simply by selecting a profile, with no need for manual timing adjustments in BIOS.
Lower power consumption compared to DDR3 — HyperX Savage DDR4 memory has lower power consumption than DDR3, with 1.2V or 1.35V only for all parts. Its lower power requirement results in less heat, higher reliability and a cooler and quieter PC.
Die-cast aluminum low-profile heat spreader — Made from highquality die-cast aluminum, HyperX Savage DDR4 provides enhanced thermal dissipation for greater reliability. Its low profile helps avoid clearance issues with CPU coolers, and its asymmetrical design and diamond-cut finish stand out in the crowd.

Official compatibily hasn’t changed yet but I was able to test this memory on MSI Z270 motherboards and were no issues with XMP profiles. Z270 chipset has been released couple of days ago and not all manufacturers tested all popular memory series. I assume it will be done soon.
As you can see on attached screenshots, HyperX Savage DDR4-3000 memory has two XMP profiles. One is DDR4-2666 and the other is DDR4-3000. We will focus on the DDR4-3000 profile.
Memory is fully stable in AIDA64 stability test which uses full memory capacity. We had also no problems with XMP profiles on MSI Z170I Gaming Pro AC, ASRock Z170 OC Formula, ASRock X99 Taichi and MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboards.
Quick look at the settings in CPU-Z.
Here is also screenshot from Thaiphoon Burner software which is showing some more details about used memory IC. HyperX Savage DDR4-3000 memory is based on Hynix SK IC also known as AFR. Modules are dual rank and each of them has 8GB capacity.
