The HyperX Savage 2400 CL11 has two XMP profiles. The first is our desired 2400 CL11-13-14-32 1.65V while the other is 2133 11-13-13-30 1.60V. As we see AIDA64 has some problems to read it right, but do not worry; the motherboard sees it correctly.

Closer Look

The HyperX Savage 2x4GB DDR3-2400 memory kit has been packed in a standard plastic blister pack with a label on it. Kingston recently changed their packaging to the transparent ones so we can see what we can expect to find inside also on the back side.

On the label we find the basic info about the memory; so the product name, number and capacity.

On the back we already see warranty info sheet. Kingston is offering a lifetime warranty for their memory products which in some countries can be changed to five years. Either way it is a lot of time.

Along with the warranty info we can also find a small HyperX logo sticker.

The HyperX Savage has been protected by new aluminum heatsinks. They look great painted red. Depending on the lighting, this color actually turns into a dark orange as you see on the photos. In daylight it is red.

On the heatsinks we can also find the HyperX logo in silver and the painted black Savage sign.

Kingston has also moved to a black PCB in nearly all of their new memory series (or at least all of the kits designed for gamers and enthusiasts). It is a good step forward as the memory looks much better.

Here is one more shot of the memory. It looks really good and should fit into every red themed computer like our test motherboard from the ASUS ROG series.
