Conclusion
The HyperX Savage is a good successor of the HyperX Genesis series. I can find only improvements starting from better looking heatsinks and black PCB and ending on performance.
Speaking of performance, I can not say that this memory kit is the best but it is really respectable considering it is not the highest Kingston memory series. This memory is being aimed into the mass market of gamers, perfect for daily work with a balanced price to performance ratio. Here we see that Kingston did great work and I feel that this memory will be popular soon.
The HyperX Savage is overclocking really well. I was able to achieve perfectly stable result of 1400MHz (DDR3-2800) 12-14-15-35 and a Command Rate 1N at no more than 1.65V. It is good to see such a high potential considering it is already the highest version of this memory.
Since it is replacing an older series then the price should not be higher. This memory is so fresh, I can not even find it in online stores but I bet we will see them soon.
One more look at the great looking new HyperX Savage heatsinks.
Pros:
- High performance
- High overclocking potential
- Low profile
- Great looks
- Flawless configuration
Cons:
- None worth to mention
Final words:
The HyperX Savage is one of the best balanced memory series on the market. Kingston combined good performance and great looks at a quite reasonable price point so we can be sure that we are receiving a high quality, well performing product paying for all we need for our daily challenges.
I can recommend HyperX Savage 8GB DDR3-2400 memory to everyone who expect high performance and quality without spending much money. Clearly I can recommend it to most gamers and computer enthusiasts.
