Conclusion
Kingston HyperX Savage DDR4-3000 memory is a well balanced product designed for gamers and computer enthusiasts. During all tests we had no problems with this memory what only confirms its high quality.
HyperX Savage has quite unique design which also looks great. All black modules look better in real than on photos. I won’t hide that I had some problems with light to show it the best and it still looks good.
These modules were also designed with compatibility on mind. Not much above standard DDR4 height will fit under any, even the largest air cooler ( what I presented with Scythe Ninja 4 cooler ). Also memory profiles are designed to work on both, Z170 and X99 motherboards. I’ve seen problems with competitive memory modules on Z170 motherboards what won’t happen with HyperX Savage. Both memory profiles were working good and were providing high performance.
Kingston is offering lifetime warranty on all their memory kits what of course includes HyperX Savage.
Now maybe couple of words about availability and prices. HyperX Savage is available in many configurations as single modules but also dual and quad channel kits. Reviewed 2x4GB DDR4-3000 memory kit is available in many good online stores for as low as $85. I think it’s a good price for memory like this. If anyone needs higher capacity modules then 2x8GB kit costs nearly $160 what is also not bad price.
Pros:
- High performance
- Good looks
- Low heatsinks – fit under even the largest air coolers
- Inexpensive
Cons:
- None worth to mention
Final words:
If anyone is looking for a memory for a gaming computer then HyperX Savage is one of the best options on the market. Good balance between performance and price makes it interesting memory series also for all other users, even these more demanding.
