Conclusion and Verdict
As you could see in the testing results this was the fastest 4000MHz RAM. All the other 4000MHz RAM results were withing very close ranges of each other. So much so you could say margin of error. Regardless the performance was on par for a kit of RAM running at 4000MHz. RAM specifications are a very indication of how it will perform. Very rarely so you find an outlier. The higher the speed and lower CL the better it’s going to be. This can vary from chip to chip but if you are using the same chip with different RAM, it is almost predictable. Just because you have awesome transfers speeds don’t forget about latency. Fast speed and low latency can make it perform slower even though the speeds say otherwise.
So, this RAM had great Read/Write transfer speeds and the latency was exactly where it should have been. So this is a very solid kit of RAM. And what is a positive are the Samsung chips and those are known to have some head room for tightening the timings and hitting them a few more MHz. I don’t overclock the RAM for any of the testing because what one person can get compared to another can vary so much depending on so many variables it isn’t fair to say this RAM can do 4800MHz all day on my setup but on another it may struggle to run XMP profiles. RAM is the worst to compare across the board. So, keep that in mind unless you have an identical setup as mine, your results may vary.
The RGB was nice. It was bright and shined through the diffused plastic no problems. I like the smooth flowing look of LEDs behind a diffuser. The colors are easily synced with motherboard software or run on a default pattern like I am showing in a lot of the pictures. Either way the lights add style points to any build.
