Now let’s see how popular diagnostic software sees memory profiles.
AIDA64 is reading profiles correct and we see that our testing motherboard is setting this memory almost as it should be. The only difference is in Command Rate which is 2T. Intel Haswell platform has no issues to work at these settings so it’s fine.
Now let’s check MemTweakIt as it’s one of the best programs showing full timing list.
All looks about the same as in AIDA64 so no issues.
At the end CPU-Z. As we see below, CPU-Z has again problems to read XMP profile correctly. I don’t think anyone should rely on CPU-Z SPD/XMP profile window while setting memory manually.
Package
Package is about the same as for most memory kits available on the market with one exception, plastic blister is inside a small box ( as we see below ). It looks good and has enough space to provide most important informations about product like short specification, product number and warranty info.
Memory is compatible with Intel 6, 7 and 8 chipset series. On the Venom Red box we can see only info about Intel 6 and 7 series but it’s probably becuase of earlier package design as both memory kits are nearly the same.
On the back of the box we can also see info about lifetime warranty. It’s maybe standard option for most RAM on the market but not all manufacturers provide it.
In the package we can also find “Go Lightning Fast” sticker. The same sticker was in both boxes.
Let’s move to the next page and take a closer look at Patriot Viper III memory …
