Performance Testing
Test setup base on the latest Intel Haswell platform which really likes fast memory so is perfect to test memory bandwidth but also overclocking.
I have to add an explanation as results in comparison were made on two 16GB memory kits so 32GB in total.
Tests based on one 16GB kit ( 2x8GB ) or two 16GB kits ( 4x8GB ) were giving exactly the same results and both kits are exactly the same except heatspreader color.
That’s why I decided to add result on all 32GB. This memory has no issues with compatibility no matter if you use 2 or 4 modules.
HyperPi 32M
Results in HyperPi 32M are maybe not the best but not that far from the top of the list. We have to remember that Viper III are 8GB modules and higher density memory has also more relaxed sub-timings. Considering this fact I think there is nothing to complain about as Patriot’s result looks really good
AIDA64 3.20
Patriot memory is showing really high bandwidth in AIDA64 achieving two out of three best results in this benchmark. I have not much more to add here. Simply great result.
MaxxMem Preview v1.99
Also good looks bandwidth in single threading MaxxMem Preview benchmark. In every category Patriot memory is close to the top.
Cinebench 11.5
Cinebench is one of these benchmarks that won’t show real advantage of fast memory but I’m still adding it to the comparison as it’s one of the benchmarks which is showing more real-world performance rather than only synthetic results.
Cinebench is using mainly processor’s power so we see that most memory kits have similar results. It doesn’t change fact that Patriot memory is offering high performance and there were no stability issues during all the tests.
