Packaging
The packaging that this memory kit ships in is the standard blister pack inside of a cardboard box. The overall theme is black with white text which is easy enough to read. The pertinent information that a consumer would be interested in knowing is all there to see. A window is present to allow a sneak peek of the memory that resides within. A blue label stands out to inform us that this memory kit was designed for Intel 6/7/8 Series Platforms.
The back of the packaging details in nine different languages that this memory kit delivers excellent performance for demanding applications and extreme gaming, has high performance heat shields, and that the product is covered by a lifetime warranty. The standard contact information for the headquarters and other offices are also labled.
Now that we have covered the packaging details, let us have a closer look at the memory kit itself.
Closer Look
Upon closer inspection we see the Viper logo on one side, and the specification sticker on the other side.
We also notice that the heatspreaders have a simple yet sleek and rugged design. The black color is an excellent choice because it will compliment almost any color scheme. I am surprised that the PCB is green especially since this is a high-end memory kit.
The design is simple yet sleek and rugged. While aesthetics are an important factor for some consumers, the performance and price will be the most important factor in their purchasing decisions.
This 8gb memory kit is designed to run at a speed of 2400mhz with timings of 10-12-12-30 at 1.65 volts and is ROHS Compliant.
