Performance
Our memory testing suite consists of a few of the more popular benchmarks such as AIDA64, HyperPi 32M, MaxxMem, and Cinebench.
AIDA64 3.0
AIDA64 is one of the best programs to measure memory bandwidth and supports multithreading.
As expected, the results of the AIDA64 benchmark show that the Patriot Viper memory has increased performance across the board over the G. Skill Sniper memory.
MaxxMem 1.99 Preview
Maxxmem is a single threaded benchmark and is useful in determining how memory will perform in software without multithreaded support.
As expected, the results of the MaxxMem benchmark show that the Patriot Viper memory has increased performance across the board over the G. Skill Sniper memory.
HyperPi 32M
HyperPi is the successor to the SuperPi benchmark and was created to support multithreading. Like SuperPi before it, this test also likes fast memory which will influence the final time.
As expected, the results of the HyperPi benchmark show that the Patriot Viper memory has a performance advantage over the G. Skill memory.
Cinebench 11.5
Cinebench is a rendering benchmark which shows some real-world application performance.
The results of Cinebench show that the test system has the same performance with either memory kit. I will say that Cinebench is mainly CPU dependent so I am not at all surprised with the results. And with those results, let us move on the the conclusion of this review.
