Today, we’ll be taking a look at the Patriot Viper Xtreme 5 Non-RGB DDR5-8200 48GB Memory Kit. They’re rated to run at an impressive speed of DDR5-8200 at 1.45v, with a CAS latency of 38-48-48-84.
It uses high-quality SK Hynix memory ICs, which have been specially selected and screened for enhanced overclocking capabilities.
Each modules is 100% hand-tested and fine tuned for maximum performance, and features an unlocked PMIC for low power consumption and enhanced stability during overclocking.
It comes with an sleek Aluminum heatshield for better cooling performance, and a Viper-head style design for great aesthetics.
With On-die ECC, the Viper Xtreme 5 can correct and detect single-bit and multi-bit errors, ensuring data integrity, data accuracy and system reliability.
What’s more, these memory kits are fully compatible with Intel XMP 3.0 overclocking profiles.

We already reviewed the DDR5-7600 RGB version of the Xtreme 5 memory kits last year, which we thought were amazing and performed extremely well, so I’m expecting even better results with these faster memory kits.
One concern I have, is whether my motherbaord will support DDR5 memory speeds of 8200MT/s, as we know that in most cases, 8000MT/s is the maximum that can be stabilized on AMD and Intel motherboards. Let’s find out and see …
