Specifications
The XPower Turbine memory is available in speed up to DDR4-4133 and capacity up to 32GB. It’s just a perfect range for gamers.
Key Features:
- Low voltage of 1.2~1.4V for less power consumption
- Authentic and high-quality SP memory module
- 100% tested for stability, durability, and compatibility
- Dynamic thermal heatsink mechanism to prevent overheating
- Supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (Intel® XMP) Standards
- Up to 10-layer PCBs to ensure stability and reliability
- Supports Intel Coffee Lake Processors
Our memory has one XMP profile which works at DDR4-3200 16-18-18 1.35V. It’s already standard for DDR4 memory but also faster than regular DDR4 modules which are available up to DDR4-2666.
The XMP works without issues on AMD and Intel motherboards. Below you can see a screenshot taken after over five hours of stability test.
Here is one more screenshot which shows how our motherboard sets memory timings at XMP.
The XPower Turbine uses Samsung B-die IC, which is known for its stability at a higher frequency and overclocking potential. Thaiphoon Burner reveals everything we may need to know about memory modules without removing heatsinks.
So far, so good. Now let’s take a look at the product itself.
Package and its Contents
Each memory module arrived in a separated plastic box which protects memory well for the time of transport. The packaging contains all info that user requires like general product information, short user’s manual or contact to support. There is also a QR code which activates the product’s warranty.
Inside of each box, we will find the 8GB memory module rated at DDR4-3200 and 1.35V. Each memory module is the same and has a matching product number. Of course, it uses the same memory IC and has the same XMP profile, so there are no problems with compatibility.
Memory modules are slightly above standard height, so shouldn’t cause any issues during the installation.
Heatsinks are made of aluminum and are blue. Let’s say it’s a classic design which we could see in competitive products. There are no additional LEDs or anything else what could raise the price. It still looks good and should match most motherboards.
On the photos below, you can see how it looks like on one of the test rigs. Memory fits perfectly in a tight ITX PC case without overheating.
On the next page of this review, we will take a closer look at the performance on a bit different test platform than the one on the above photos. It’s still Intel Coffee Lake but with ASUS motherboard designed to support high memory frequency so also perfect for overclocking.
