Overclocking
Disclaimer: Overclocking is never guaranteed so the results may vary depending on certain conditions and hardware configurations. I am not recommending overclocking if you do not know what you are doing. High voltages may damage hardware, and the warranty will not cover it.
The V-Color is well-known among overclockers as its memory kits have shown excellent results for years. It’s not any different with the tested XPrism 8200MT/s kit. It’s equipped with the best overclocking Hynix M-die IC and Richtek PMIC, so there is no better combo on the market if we wish to go for the highest frequencies.
The test platform limited the tested memory kit, as the frequency scaling suggests it can reach even 9000MT/s. We still reached 8600MT/s, which is a fantastic result! We’ve tested multiple 14700K and 14900KF processors, as well as ASUS APEX Encore and Gigabyte Tachyon X motherboards. However, most of the tested processors and motherboards were still worse than the test setup presented in this review. Even though these top series are advertised as the best for overclocking, then it’s still a matter of luck how high they will go.
The V-Color XPrism 8200MT/s kit is one of the best options for gaming and overclocking. I’m sure anyone who decides on this memory kit will have much fun.
